The Little Giant story began over thirty years ago. While working in Germany, our founder, Hal Wing, met the inventor of “a new kind of ladder.” Hal immediately recognized this ladder as an innovative product that could take the place of several ordinary ladders. Soon he began importing the Little Giant Ladder System from Germany and selling them at fairs and trade shows. When the word spread about his new product, Hal secured the licensing rights to manufacture ladders in the United States. Soon, the fledgling family company had to expand to meet demand.

In 2003 Little Giant Solution’s sales skyrocketed after the launch of a television infomercial. Instead of painting a gimmicky picture, the infomercial visually represented the ladder's benefits, impacting the reputation of the company and its products in a positive way.

Today, Little Giant Ladder Systems holds worldwide patents and trademarks on many innovations in ladder design and manufacturing. Its world-class R&D department continues to develop new products that will revolutionize the professional and do-it-yourself categories—all from its Springville, Utah headquarters. Little Giant Ladder Systems created the articulating ladder market, and it will continue to lead the industry in innovation, product excellence, and customer service.
